E46 M3 Problems
Nov 02, 2013 Installing AUX input into my E46 BMW I'm looking to install an aux input into my 2001 BMW 330xi. I have the Business CD, Harman Kardan sound system, and am wondering what is the most effective, best sounding, not very expensive way to go ahead and install the aux input. Auxiliary Input install on an E46 upgraded from MK2 to MK4 Well I just posted this over on bimmerboard but I thought I should give you guys a try to. My 2000 328Ci came with the MK2 navigation system but just recently I upgraded both the screen (from 4:6 to 16:9) and the drive (CD to DVD).
So, yes I have searched a bunch, and most of what I’ve found is either kinda crappy info, or from more than a year ago.
I have a 2001 M3 that has the god damn Business Tape headunit. It had the 6 disc changer, but i took it out because I don’t actually listen to CDs anymore, and because it was acting weird. Besides driving to and from work, I autocross frequently, and drive a little on the weekends, but I’m not quite ready to commit to full ‘because racecar’ mode, and would still like some small creature comforts.

That being said, here is a list of attributes in a headunit:
Apple CarPlay would be awesome, but is not strictly necessary
Do not need a tape deck
Do not need a CD player
If it has USB input for audio, do not need a line-in/aux input — OR —
If it has reliable Bluetooth, don’t really need USB either (or line-in/aux)
Price is a concern, because this is just for me listening to music/audiobooks/etc on a short 30 minute backroads commute and occasionally otherwise.
And some questions:
If I go to a double DIN unit, do I just move the A/C controls down one “space” to where my little storage bin is right now?
Glock trigger spring install. It also explains why I like the Glock 3.5 connector with the NY1 Trigger. Before you decide to modify your defensive gun please think about ALL the ramifications. I am not suggesting you would like this set up.

I don’t have a burning desire to amplify anything, but I’ve read that BMW speakers are rated for non-standard-for-nearly-every-other-car Ohms, is this something I need to be concerned about?
Will the track control and volume buttons on the steering wheel still work?
Is there anything stupid that I’m not thinking of?
