Sharks are tamable mobs that spawn in oceans.
Spawning Edit
Sharks spawn in ocean and deep ocean biomes that is at least 2 blocks deep and around 6-8 blocks wide/deep.
Sharks are 0.5 blocks wide and 3 blocks long at first, but can grow up to 1 block wide and 6 blocks long.
Drops Edit
When killed, sharks will drop 0-3 shark teeth (60% chance), and have a 10% chance to drop an egg. Eggs can only be obtained if the difficulty is set to Easy or higher. They drop 5 experience when killed by a player or tamed wolf.
Behavior Edit
Sharks are hostile mobs; they will attack and pursue any nearby players that are in the water, if within 16 blocks of a shark. They will also attack squids. Sharks have high attack damage, and can kill an unprotected player in about three or four hits, depending on the difficulty.
Sharks will not attack on Peaceful difficulty, but they will still attempt to chase you.
TamingEdit
A shark can be tamed by hatching a shark egg in water. In order to get a tamed shark, the egg must be hatched by placing it in a body of water, which will hatch into a friendly baby shark. Tamed sharks will not attack the player or other sharks.
A tamed shark can be moved with the use of a fish net. There is no current way, however, to heal a tamed shark by 'feeding' it. The only way to heal a tamed shark is to throw a splash potion of Healing or Regeneration at it.

Oceancraft is a very exciting Minecraft mod that takes the game’s oceans to a whole new level by adding multitudes of new features to them that all come together to make for a very engaging and captivating experience that players are sure to enjoy. Minecraft’s game world has always had a lot to offer but oceans have never been its strong suit mainly due to the fact that they’re not as ‘complete’ as one would hope, but this mod has been designed specifically with this in mind so after applying it you’ll see the game’s oceans in a completely different light.
The primary focus of the Oceancraft Mod lies mainly towards adding more mobs to the game’s oceans in order to make them feel livelier. You’ll find a variety of absolutely gorgeous fish swimming around the ocean thanks to this mod and what’s most impressive is that there are various different types of fish as well. Some types are deepwater that lie near the bottom of the sea whereas some types tend to stick towards the top side of the ocean. This variety of types shows that quite a lot of thought and effort went into putting the mod together.
Alongside the mobs, Oceancraft also implements various different kinds of special underwater blocks that you’ll get to see and interact with if you can manage to swim into the deepest depths of the ocean. Of course, it’s crucial to remember that breathing and oxygen is still a factor that you need to keep in mind so you probably shouldn’t stay underwater for any longer than necessary. All things considered, Oceancraft gives the oceans of Minecraft a variety of much-welcomed changes that make them feel much livelier and enhance the whole gameplay experience to a completely new level.
